My parents actually don’t see the purpose of me finishing journalism when they won’t see my by-line in the dailies. I hate how that seems to be so narrow-minded of most people, but I see their point. Reporting is one of the most noble jobs around, and these people know they have a responsibility. I hate to think that some fellow journalism majors like me will end up dead someday. This has to stop.

was just regularized by the Manila Bulletin after 25 years as a correspondent. He bought a new car to celebrate. He’s also finishing Mass Comm in Gen San. He left 7 kids behind.

That was the saddest story in the Inquirer today. For me, at least.
